News has come to me that Canadian show 'The Listener' has been picked up for a second season!:canada:
The Listener is a CTV show about a paramedic who is a receiving telepath. I say a receiving telepath, because thus far there's no evidence he can transmit thoughts to others, only receive them (thus far!).
Despite being dumped by American TV giant NBC, Canada's CTV was able to sell the international rights (yes, Canada is a different country to the USA) to Fox International who broadcast the show in a myriad of other countries to great success.
Which just goes to show that a show doesn't need to make it in America to get renewed!
