So I had someone point me in the direction of some relaxation mp3's, designed to give you a small time out and help you rest, relax and rejuvenate before jumping back into the toil of the job.
Here's a helpful tip to those of you out there - DO NOT try to listen to relaxation tracks while you're in an environment where you will be constantly....and repeatedly....and persistently...interrupted.
There is nothing quite so annoying, and enraging, as trying to relax and chill out for 10-15 minutes an having people constantly interrupt what you're doing.
All the peaceful feelings vanish in a haze of frustration and anger. You lose any sense of calm and well-being by someone forcibly dragging your conscious mind back from the serenity and quiet you've been trying to reach. And when this happens multiple times in a short 10-15 minute period, you definitely reach a point where you could cheerfully almost throttle the people involved!
I guess the lesson here is - don't try to relax at work
