It was reported today on news.com.au (http://www.news.com.au/technology/google-may-quit-china-over-filtering-cyberattacks/story-e6frfro0-1225818752682) that Google may pull out of business operations in China and (FINALLY) stop filtering google search results on their google.cn website.
Reports say that Google became aware of 'sophisticated attacks' on their servers originating from China which appeared to be targeted at the websites and e-mail accounts of China Human Rights activists.
Google state that this issue speaks to the deeper issue of freedom of speech on the internet...
I say - ABOUT FRAKKEN TIME!! Censoring your search results to pander to the Chinese Govt. was a mistake to start with. Nice to see Google finally realising that compromising with EVIL is never a good idea!! And yes - I'm calling the Chinese Government EVIL.
